Biography
David Archuleta hails from Albuquerque, New Mexico.[1] He was stationed in Okinawa Japan in the year of 2000. He started kickboxing at the age of 18, and enjoyed a successful career winning several titles including a world title. As of 2008, he is studying to a Medical Doctor at the University of New Mexico.
As a professional kickboxer
David dominated the sport of Kickboxing in Japan, winning several titles including an ISKA title and the Universal Kickboxing Federation Junior Welterweight World Champion.[2] He has starred in several successful shows including K-1 World Max.[3]
Challenge to the stars
Archuleta fought against Hitoshi Ogasawara who had won the national title of Thailand although he was Japanese, and finished as draw. In addition, he also went to draw against HAYATO who is a star of the Japanese kickboxing world.[citation needed]
In 2004, he beat Takehiro Murahama, the winner of K-1 JAPAN'97 Featherweight tournament by decision.[citation needed]
