The Silver Bugles (Band of the Somerset Army Cadet Force)

The Silver Bugles are the band of Somerset Army Cadet Force. Spanning from two detachments over two companies within the battalion - they are one of the best Army Cadet bands in the country. They play at numerous events around the county. These include (most recenty), playing for HRH Queen Elizabeth II at Weston-super-Mare, playing with The Rifles at Vivary park in Taunton for the Freedom of Taunton day and finally Montacute House, near Yeovil. The Silver Bugles are due to parade in their local canivals before they attend a training weekend on the Mendips.

History

The Silver Bugles come from the detachments of Uphill (Gibraltar Company) and Frome (Normandy Company). The bugles are commanded by Cpt Ed. Maun who acts at the Director of Music.
