AudioCodes (nasdaq|AUDC), is a leading manufacturer of VoIP (Voice Over IP) technologies and products. AudioCodes offers two main groups of products, the first is Enabling Technology Products. Enabling Technology Products are primarily processor chips and media blades which can be used to develop both consumer and business VoIP technologies. The other main group of products are the Networking Products which are used by network carriers and telecommunication companies to create Voice Over IP networks.

Awards

AudioCodes' products have won several prestigious awards. The TrunkPack-VoIP/200, which is a dual-trunk, single-slot, standards-based board for Voice over IP networks won the Internet Telephony Magazine's product of the year award.

Corporate history

AudioCodes was founded in 1993 in Or Yehudah, Israel. In 1995 the company develops the ITU G.723.1 voice compression codec which becomes the industry standard. In 1997 AudioCodes opens its U.S. headquarters in San Jose, California. Between 1997 and 2004, AudioCodes opened up offices in Dallas, Chicago, Boston, and Beijing. In 1999, AudioCodes stock began to be traded on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange and in 2004, the international headquarters moved to Lod, Israel.

Shabtai Adlersberg is the current Chairman of the Board and CEO.
