Akinlabi Olasunkanmi

Akinlabi Olasunkanmi (born March 1956), is the Minister responsible for Youth Development in the cabinet of President Umaru Yar'Adua of Nigeria.

Olasunkanmi comes from Ode-omu, Osun State, Nigeria.

He was elected initially to the Senate in 2003 under the flagship of the PDP, and joined the cabinet on July 26, 2007, however his nomination caused some outcry due to allegations that he had been imposed by the Vice-president of the party [ [http://www.independentngonline.com/?c=135&a=30526 ::: Welcome to Independent Newspapers Limited - A VOICE OF YOUR OWN ] ] .

He has a Masters Degree in Business Administration (Banking & Finance) from the University of the District of Columbia, Washington D.C USA and is married with three children.
