Macklyn Arbuckle (July 9, 1866April 1, 1931) was an American screen and stage actor. He was the cousin of comedian Roscoe Arbuckle and brother of actor Andrew Arbuckle.

Biography

Arbuckle was born in San Antonio, Texas. He practiced law from 1916 to 1917, until he decided to become an actor. He started his career as a screen actor, and then became a stage actor in plays. He married the future Mrs. Macklyn Arbuckle, together they had no children. He is remembered for the line "Nobody loves a fat man" when he played the character Sheriff "Slim" Hoover in the play "The Roundup".

Arbuckle died on April 1, 1931, in Waddington, New York of a brain hemorrhage.
