The A. B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, was named in honor of Alfred Bird Freeman, former chairman of the Louisiana Coca-Cola Bottling Co. and a prominent New Orleans philanthropist and civic leader.

The Freeman School's main location is in the center of Tulane's Uptown New Orleans campus, next to the Tulane University Law School and across the street from the new Lavin-Bernick Center. Audubon Park, which sits next to campus, offers outdoor enthusiasts a bike trail that continues for 25+ miles along the Mississippi River, as well as a 1.8 mile running trail around a public golf course.

Every year, leading finance and M&A practitioners from throughout the United States descend upon Tulane to attend the Tulane Corporate Law Institute forum.

Joint-degree Programs

Joint-degree offerings include, but are not limited to, the MBA/JD (Law), MBA/MPH (Health Systems Management), MBA/MA (Latin American Studies), and MBA/MD.

Global Leadership Program

During the second, third, and fourth semesters of the full-time MBA program, each MBA class goes on an academic/networking conference in the following cities:

Company visits in these countries allow students to gain insight into foreign business practices.

Freeman Days

Within the United States, the Freeman School annually hosts company visits at corporate headquarters in New York City and Houston. New Orleans employers typically come directly to the Uptown New Orleans campus. The school refers to these events as "Freeman Days."

Facilities

The Freeman School maintains facilities in both New Orleans and Houston. It's two main buildings, Goldring/Woldenberg I & II, both sit in the center of Tulane's Uptown New Orleans campus.

Goldring/Woldenberg Hall I

Goldring/Woldenberg Hall I (GW I) was completed in 1986. It primarily houses the undergraduate programs.

Goldring/Woldenberg Hall II

Construction of Goldring/Woldenberg Hall II (GW II) was completed in November 2003. The building sits next to GW I and across the street from Tulane's Lavin-Bernick Center (LBC), a state-of-the-art student center completed in 2006. GW II houses the graduate business programs.

GW II is particularly well known for its cutting-edge $1.5 million trading center, which is equipped with sophisticated simulation, trading and financial software including Kiodex, Crystal Ball and FEA. The building as a whole cost $25 million to construct, which includes the purchase of an elaborate collection of high-end artwork that is displayed throughout its hallways.
