Neomixis tenella Scientific classification Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Chordata Class: Aves Order: Passeriformes Family: Cisticolidae Genus: Neomixis Neomixis is a genus of bird formerly in the Timaliidae family but now considered to belong to the African warbler cisticolidae family. The genus consists of three small forest birds endemic to Madagascar:
- Stripe-throated Jery (Neomixis striatigula)
- Common Jery (Neomixis tenella)
- Green Jery (Neomixis viridis)
Another species the Wedge-tailed Jery (Hartertula flavoviridis) was until recently placed in this genus but recent biochemical studies suggest its true relationships lie elsewhere.
