Gedaliah (גדליה) is a Hebrew name given to several men in history. It means "made great by God."

In the Bible

* Gedaliah, the son of Achikam. He presided over the kingdom of Judah shortly after the destruction of the First Temple in Jerusalem. The Fast of Gedaliah commemorates his assassination.
* Gedaliah, the son of Jeduthum (1 Chr. 25:3, 9).
* Gedaliah, the grandfather of the prophet Zephaniah, and the father of Cushi (Zeph. 1:1).
* Gedaliah son of Pashhur one of the nobles who conspired against Jeremiah (Jer. 38:1).
