The discography of Godsmack, an American heavy metal/hard rock band, consists of four studio albums, one EP, one compilation, three video albums, and seventeen singles.

Godsmack was formed in late 1995 in Lawrence, Massachusetts by singer Sully Erna and bassist Robbie Merrill. Erna and Merrill recruited local friend and guitarist Lee Richards and drummer Tommy Stewart to complete the band's lineup.cite web| author=Scaggs, Austin |date=2003-05-06 |url=http://www.rollingstone.com/artists/godsmack/articles/story/5936304/sully_awakes |title=Sully Awakes |publisher="Rolling Stone" |accessdate=2007-12-02] In 1996, Tony Rombola replaced Richards, as the band's guitarist.cite web| author=Seaver, Morley |url=http://www.rocknworld.com/morley/06/Godsmack.shtml |title=MorleyView Interview with Shannon Larkin of Godsmack |publisher=MorleyView |accessdate=2007-12-06] In 1998, Godsmack released their self-titled debut album, a re-recording of the "All Wound Up" demo.cite web |url= http://www.godsmack.com/bio/bio.asp |title=Godsmack – Bio |accessdate=2007-10-10 |last= |first=|date=|publisher=Godsmack.com] The album was distributed by Universal/Republic Records and shipped five million copies in the United States. In 2001, the band contributed the track "Why" to the Any Given Sunday soundtrack. After two years of touring the band released "Awake". Although the album was a commercial success, it failed to match the sales of "Godsmack".cite web| url=http://riaa.com/goldandplatinumdata.php?table=SEARCH |title=RIAA Searchable database – Gold and Platinum |publisher=Recording Industry Association of America |accessdate=2008-01-03] cite web

The band's third album, "Faceless" (2003), debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200. In 2004, Godsmack released an acoustic-based EP titled "The Other Side". The EP debuted at number five on the Billboard 200 and was certified gold by the RIAA. The band contributed the track "Bring It On" to the Madden 2006 football game in 2005, this track is not featured on any known album or compilation. The band released its fourth studio album, "IV", in 2006. "IV" was the band's second release to debut at number one, and has since been certified platinum. After touring in support of "IV" for over a year, Godsmack released a greatest hits album called "Good Times, Bad Times... Ten Years of Godsmack". The album included every Godsmack single (with the exception of "Bad Magick"), a cover of the Led Zeppelin song "Good Times Bad Times" and a DVD of the band's acoustic performance in Las Vegas, Nevada. At the same time of the album's release, Godsmack stated that they were going on hiatus.cite web |url=http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=82111 |title=Blabbermouth.net – Godsmack Looking Back at 'Good Times, Bad Times' In November |accessdate=2007-10-10 |date=2007-10-04 |publisher=Blabbermouth.net ] To date the band has sold nearly 10 million albums in the U.S., with an additional two million worldwide.cite web|title=Godsmack – News |publisher=Godsmack |url=http://godsmack.com/news/news.asp?item=111184 |accessdate=2007-11-06 |publisher=Godsmack.com]
