"The Beaver County Times" is a daily newspaper published in
Pennsylvania ,United States . The newspaper has been built up from many other previous newspapers, the earliest of these dating back to1807 , this was called theMinerva . The newspaper was founded byMichael Weyland and was published from1851 to1895 when the name was changed to "Beaver Argus" and remained at this name until1909 . The company then altered its title to "The Beaver Valley Times", however after the acquisition Ambridge Daily Citizen it subsequently altered its name again to "The Beaver County Times" as it is know as today.One of the papers biggest milestones was when the publications in the evening changed to the morning, this was on
April 17 1997 . The newspaper is currently operated and run byCalkins Media .In April 2008, the Times closed its Moon Township office on Beaver Grade Road and laid off at least two reporters.
