Paula Rae Gibson

Paula Rae Gibson is a singer-songwriter, photographer and filmmaker. Born in Greenwich in 1968, she took up photography in 1992. Her first book of photographs, "Diary of a Love Addict", came out in 2006, concentrating on the reaction to bereavement and personal loss. A further book, "I'll Always Walk Away" was published in September 2007 especially focussing on reworked photos, poetic fragments, and collage-like video set to music. In February 2008, there was an exhibition of her work at FFI Frankfurt with a further exhibition at Rollo Gallery in London in April.2

Her first CD, "No More Tiptoes", of original songs with pianist Tom Pilling, came out in October 2007, including a version with the lyrics, and a track of which "We Blow It Every Time" was selected as a track of the year by "Time Out".{1} She has also collaborated with Will Gregory of Goldfrapp and Martyn Barker with the release, "Maybe Too Nude", in early 2008 on Babel Label.

She was the scriptwriter, actor and composer for a film, "What Are You Doing Forever?", selected for the International Festival of Cinema and Technology and screened as part of the Portobello Film Festival.

She was married to film director Brian Gibson and has one daughter.
