Biography and schooling

Jozef Kapustka was born in 1969 in Tarnów, Poland where he began receiving his precociously early musical tuition from the local instructor Danuta Cieslik at the age of 3. He then briefly studied at the State Higher Academy of Music in Kraków with Ewa Bukojemska, but it was not until he moved to the West that he accomplished a fairly unique scholarly pedigree. He furthered his skills during masterclasses with Dimitri Bashkirov (held under auspices of La Reina Sofia School of Music in Spain) and Vera Gornostaeva in Paris and Moscow. Also an alumnus of the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara,CA he holds a " diplome superieur de la langue et civilization francaise" from Paris Sorbonne University(1994).One of the very few recipients of Grand Prix of Conservatoire International de Musique de Paris (1992), an institution founded and run originally by Maurice Ravel and Gabriel Faure.
