eason 1

Living with Flex

Breanna used to live with her mother Nicole, and only visited Flex two weeks in a year. When Nicole arrives to pick her up, she announces that she has landed a job in Nova Scotia. Breanna detests, saying that she does not want to go. Flex tells Nicole that Breanna can stay with him, and she decides to let Breanna live with him for at least a year. From then on, Breanna lived with Flex, and befriended neighborhood kids Spirit Jones, the daughter of two hippies, and Arnaz Ballard, a half-black, half-white rocker who likes her.

A Friend from Atlanta

When Breanna mentions that she misses Tracy, an old friend from Atlanta (Breanna had lived there originally), Flex decides to fly Tracy from Atlanta. When Tracy arrives, Flex discovers something shocking- Tracy's a boy! He reluctantly lets Tracy stay, and while he is there, Breanna discovers her feelings for him. She enlists Tonya, her dad's girlfriend at the time, to help her be more ladylike to win him over. During a basketball game the next day, she becomes more girly, but he is clueless to her plan. Breanna kisses him, and Flex walks in. After he sends Breanna to her room, Tracy tells him that he only likes Breanna as a friend. After he leaves, Flex breaks the news to Breanna, who is heartbroken.

Like Father, Like Daughter

After having her heart broken by Tracy, Breanna decides to be more like Flex: she soon has many boys falling for her charms and manipulates them to get what she wants. When she promises to go to a concert with Arnaz, and he overhears her promise someone else, she hurts his feelings. When he realizes that Breanna is going to ruin her friendship with Arnaz, Flex realizes his mistake and publicly apologizes for being a player. Breanna thinks he is joking at first, but soon finds out he's serious and decides to apologize to Arnaz and stop being a player herself.

The Party

When Flex is out of town for business, Breanna, Spirit, and Arnaz throw a party. Natasha, who is Arnaz's new girlfriend, takes him to Breanna's room to have sex. But just as they're about to do it, Arnaz calls her "Breanna", which prompts her to break up with him.Breanna, who had been warned about what was going to happen by Spirit, is distracted by Lewis, a boy from school who tells her there is a problem in Flex's bedroom. After she leaves, Arnaz comes out of her room and asks someone where she is. A boy replies "She's in her dad's room with Lewis", leading Arnaz to believe that the two are haveing sex. He leaves after Breanna comes out her dad's room. She discovers her room is open. After asking Spirit where Arnaz went, she says "they (him and Natasha) did what they had to do and left," which makes Breanna believe that Natasha and Arnaz DID have sex.

aving Spirit

Breanna and Arnaz (who mistakenly believe that each other had sex with someone else) are not speaking. The school "hottie list" comes out and Breanna finds out that she's on it. Spirit is not, so she decides to sex up her image, which attracts the attention of Derrick, the leader of a popular clique called the McKinley Pros. Derrick makes Arnaz a McKinley Pro (because he also thinks that Arnaz had sex with Natasha), tells them that another name for the clique is the 'Panty Posse'. The reason behind that is that every year, the crew holds a party and invites all the "hotties", so that they can have sex with them and keep their panties as trophies. Arnaz is horrified, and tries to warn Breanna and Sprit away from the party. Spirit is angered because she thinks that Breanna (who is insulting her boyfriend) and Arnaz (who she believes is just interfering in her life) are not being supportive, and storms away. Breanna and Arnaz decide to team up and stop the party.

After enlisting the help of her dad and Duane, they go to the party. However, Derrick is suspicious of Flex and Duane and locks them out. Breanna spots Spirit and tries to talk to her but is interrupted by Derrick, who wants to dance with her. She decides to watch them, but is interrupted by a fight with Arnaz (about what happened at Breanna's party). She looks around and finds that Spirit and Derrick have disappeared. Arnaz finds them in the back room, where Derrick is trying to get Spirit to have sex. He and Derrick have a brief fight that Arnaz wins, and they all leave. Back at home, Breanna tells Arnaz that she'll forgive him for having sex with Natasha (which never happened). Arnaz gets angry and tells her the truth about that night, then walks away with two girls.

Feelings for Arnaz

Breanna finally admits that she likes Arnaz, who is now popular and constantly surrounded by girls. After unsuccessful attempts to get him alone (which include telling him thats she's going to a dance with Lil Bow Wow and getting into a fight with one of his "hoochies" that resulted in a big punch stain on her dress), she decides to videotape her feelings. But after she sends it, she realizes that she had spinach in her teeth. She tries to get it back at Arnaz's house, but is caught by Arnaz. After watching it, he confronts her at her house. She grabs the tape and ruins it, and Arnaz says that he'll make her say that she loves him again (like she had on the tape).

aying Goodbye:...

When Flex gets a chance to rejoin the LA Clippers, Breanna's mom Nicole decides to take her back to Nova Scotia with her. Breanna still doesn't want to go, because that would mean leaving her friends (including Arnaz). When she finally accepts that she must go, she gives Arnaz a romantic 'goodbye kiss'. Nicole finds that Breanna really doesn't want to go, and decides to leave her with the newly returned Flex, who was cut because his heart wasn't in his training (he kept thinking about Breanna).

Losing Arnaz

After being able to stay in Baltimore, Breanna reuntites with Spirit. However, she says she must avoid Arnaz because she gave him the 'goodbye forever' kiss. Spirit argues, so Breanna decides to test Arnaz to see if he still loves her. She finds out that a girl named Ginger (the same girl from the dance) is trying to make a move on him, but Breanna happily discovers that he does still like her. She reveals herself, but Arnaz already knew that she had never left, and asks her why she's playing with his heart. Ginger appears, and Arnaz reveals that they are together now because Ginger "doesn't play games." They walk off, leaving Breanna totally heartbroken.

Moving On?

After losing Arnaz to Ginger, Breanna meets a new guy named Josh. She tells her parents, saying that "he's so cute and I think I love him." Unfortunately, Josh is the son of Flex's rival, and Flex forbids Breanna to see him. They sneak around until Flex and Josh's dad, Howard, decide to bury the hatchet. They become a couple, just as Arnaz decides to break up with Ginger to be with Breanna. When he sees them on TV, he is shocked.

The Secret Kiss

On Christmas, Arnaz presents Breanna with a half-heart pendant. He has the other half, he says, to keep Breanna close to his heart. They kiss, unknowingly watched by Spirit.

Josh or Arnaz?

After Ginger breaks up with Arnaz because of the pendant, she points out to Josh that Breanna has the other half. Josh confronts Breanna, and tells her to finally decide between him and Arnaz. Arnaz agrees and leaves after Josh does. The next day, Breanna is about to choose (with Spirit taking bets on who will win), but loses her voice. Later, Nicole figures out that she was faking, and so Breanna is finally forced to choose. It appears that she picked Josh. When Spirit invites her to get a drink with her and Arnaz, she responds by saying that she must ask her boyfriend. A second later, she asks Arnaz if she can come, signaling that she in fact picked Arnaz.

A Lover Scorned

Josh is very upset that Breanna picked Arnaz. Breanna tells him that she hopes that they can be friends. Then Ginger appears and tells him to do it so that they can scheme to break Breanna and Arnaz up. They plan to bring Breanna and Arnaz to Burger Hut separately. When Josh brings Breanna, Ginger kisses Arnaz. Breanna is hurt and leaves. The next day, Breanna confronts Arnaz about the kiss. Arnaz says that it was Ginger's fault. He demands that Ginger tell the truth, but she just makes it worse by saying that she and Arnaz had sex. Breanna decides to get even by getting Josh half-naked and laying on him in her house. However, Arnaz was standing outside of her door and heard her entire plan. He reveals Josh and Ginger's plan. Josh calls him a liar, and Breanna tells both of them to leave, because she doesn't know who to believe. She decides to just be friends with Arnaz. He agrees, but kisses her and tells her to remember that if she ever changes her mind.

Ready for Sex?

When Breanna and Spirit find out that all the cheerleaders except them have had sex, they decide to lose their virginity. While Spirit looks for someone to have sex with, Breanna goes to Arnaz's. Everything falls into place and its about to happen when Arnaz reveals that he's not a virgin. Breanna leaves, but her feelings for Arnaz return. She decides to try and find out who he slept with.

The Discovery

Breanna and Spirit are holding auditions for the cheerleading squad, and a girl names Charlotte makes the team. She and Breanna bond quickly and become good friends. But the friendship falls apart when Breanna learns a devastating secret- Charlotte is the girl who slept with Arnaz! After that, Breanna starts to treat her really coldly, until Spirit says that Breanna should be mad at Arnaz, not her. Breanna and Charlotte make up, and Charlotte says that even though she had sex with Arnaz, Arnaz had said that there was already a special girl in his life. One he had given a half-heart pendant to, which is Breanna.

Helping Arnaz

When his homelife becomes too much to deal with, Arnaz hides out in Breanna's room to escape his mother and her drinking. Despite Breanna, Flex makes Arnaz go home, but changes his mind after Cheryl, Arnaz's mom, abuses him. Flex makes Cheryl get help for her problem.

To New York or Bust

Breanna gets a lead role in the school play, and begs Flex (who's work schedule has become very time consuming) to come. But when his show has a chance for syndication, Flex must go to a meeting to discuss the terms. Breanna's feeling are hurt, and she uses them to deliver an amazing performance in the play. When Arnaz tells her that he's leaving for New York, Breanna decides to go because she feels neglected and unloved.

Reality Hits Home

After arriving in New York, Breanna decides to go after her dreams of Broadway. However, she finds out that it's tougher than it looks to achieve her dreams after sleeping in an apartment of starving artists and thinking over her actions. She and Spirit decide to go home, while Arnaz decides to stay in New York. Breanna is stunned, but accepts his decision.

Together At Last

When Arnaz returns from New York, he and Breanna finally become a couple. They hide at first, fearful that Flex will forbid them. But he accepts it, and so now they are free to date.

Problems With Flex

Breanna and Flex are having huge problems, so they decide to see the new therapist resident of their building, Danielle. Gradually, they begin to get along better and better. And after a strange experience between the two of them (they switch bodies for an afternoon), Flex finds out that Breanna is being trustworthy, and Breanna learns that Flex works harder than he lets on. They begin to have a much better relationship.

Jealousy

When Arnaz's band hires a cute French singer named Charlie, Breanna becomes instantly jealous. At first it seems just paranoid, but then it becomes rational after Charlie taunts Breanna privately and even kisses Arnaz on New Year's. Arnaz defends himself by telling Breanna "She's (Charlie) French, she'll kiss anything!" He assures Breanna that he is not interested in Charlie, and that he and Breanna are totally together.

Graduation Break-Up

With graduation approaching, Breanna announces that she will attend college in Maryland. Flex asks her why (she had originally wanted to college in California), and she replies by saying she wants to be close to Arnaz. Nicole, who is back in town for Breanna's graduation, tells Flex to talk to Arnaz about her. When they do, Flex tells him that Breanna should go to California and he should stay here, because his band is about to hit it big. When Arnaz tells Breanna, she thinks that it's his way of breaking up with him and throws him out. Flex feels extremely guilty, and after graduation, admits to Breanna what he did. Breanna is furious, but decides to go to California anyway. On the plane, she is surprised by Arnaz. He tells her that he loves her, and will follow her wherever she goes. They decide to stay in Baltimore, but go to California anyway because Arnaz spent his rent money on the plane ticket.

Breanna and Arnaz move to Los Angeles so that Breanna can go to college and Arnaz can start over as a rockstar.

Breanna and Arnaz find that they like it in California and decide to stay there. They find a house with four other people, two girls and two guys. Sara Crawford, Lisa Sanchez, Darrell "D-Mack" McGinty, and Cash Bagen. At the end of season 5 Breanna and Arnaz break up, Arnaz goes too find D-Mack's sister, Michelle, who he has romantic feelings for, and Breanna hooks up with D-Mack. She gives her virginity to D-Mack instead of Arnaz who has asking for it for years, and it is never said if Breanna and Arnaz get back together because the series was cancelled.
