- Western Conference (PIHA)
The Western Conference is one of two conferences in the
Professional Inline Hockey Association(PIHA) used to divide teams. Its counterpart is the Eastern Conference.
It was created in 2005 when PIHA expanded west with five teams in
Colorado. PIHA aligned its teams into two conferences. PIHA again expanded in 2006 into the St. Louis and New Englandareas, and realigned each conference was divided into two divisions. Then in 2008, all the teams left PIHA. The only teams left were those in the Rocky Mountian Division. The Western Conference Championship Trophy is awarded annually to the conference champion.
Currently, the Western Conference comprises 5 teams in one division: Rocky Mountain Division.
