Homestall farm

Homestall farm

Homestall Farm consisted of a farm house, barn and substantial land surrounding it, and was located on the site of what is now Peckham Rye park in south-east London. The farm was acquired by the Camberwell Vestry in 1890, and the buildings were destroyed in 1908. With the loss of the farm, the ancient tradition of farming in what had been a rural community was gone forever, as the London suburbs expanded south.
