Andrew Hodd

Andrew Hodd (born January 12, 1984) is an English cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper who currently plays for Sussex. He was born in Chichester.

Hodd first represented Sussex during the 2002 Second XI Championship season, though it took a few games for him to find his feet. Hodd picked up his debut first-class appearance in May 2003, though it was nearly three further years until he would appear for the first time in County Cricket, making his league debut against Warwickshire in April 2006. Hodd had also spent four months in the Surrey squad, playing one Twenty20 Cup match and one limited overs fixture.

Hodd has become a regular starter for Sussex during the 2007 season, starting with a solid game in the middle-order where he was unfortunate to fall short of a half-century score. This was achieved in his second game of the season, as he made a so far career-topping innings of 72.

Hodd has represented the English Under-19 cricket team in six Test matches, during the visits from Australia Under-19s and South Africa Under-19s in January and August 2003 respectively.
