Roy Race is a fictional character from the British comic strip Roy of the Rovers. He played for and managed team Melchester Rovers in the First Division and the Premier League.

Personal life

Roy has three children, twins Roy "Rocky" and Melinda "Mel" (born 1978) and Diana (born 1982). He was married to Penny, but she was killed in a car crash in 1995.

In his spare time Roy enjoys fishing.

Rocky

Roy "Rocky" Chester Race was born on 15 May 1977. He played for Mel Lane football team until he was eleven, before playing for "Melchester", his dad's team, as an emergency replacement. He moved up to the first team in 1993.
