The Prime Minister of Kosovo (Albanian: Kryeministri i Kosovës, Serbian: Премијер Косова, Premijer Kosova) is Head of Government of the disputed Republic of Kosovo[a] .

The Prime Minister and the Government of Kosovo, which he or she heads, are responsible for their actions to the Assembly of Kosovo, of which they must all be members. The current Prime Minister of the Government of Kosovo is Hashim Thaçi.

a. ^ Kosovo is the subject of a territorial dispute between the Republic of Serbia and the self-proclaimed Republic of Kosovo. The latter declared independence on 17 February 2008, while Serbia claims it as part of its own sovereign territory. Its independence is recognised by 85 UN member states.
