Burleigh Head National Park

Burleigh Head National Park

Burleigh Head is a national park in Queensland (Australia), 81 km southeast of Brisbane.Burleigh_Head_National_Park is a great place for hiking because it is cool and has great views. The formation of Burleigh headland began between 23 - 25 million years ago. The huge Mount Warning volcano in the gold coast hinterland was active. Molten basalt lava from the volcano flowed all the way down the valleys and eroded them all. The valleys were covered in hardened sedimentary rocks before reaching what is now the Burleigh headland.
