Camp La Junta

Camp La Junta

Camp La Junta is a summer camp for boys ages 7-14 years old. It is located in Hunt, Texas in the Hill Country near Kerrville.

History

Camp La Junta (a Spanish word which means "The Junction" or "The Meeting Place") was first established in 1928 with various camping activities, helping young boys to escape the "urban city life". The 200-acre camping retreat is located between the Guadalupe River and the rolling hills of the Texas Hill Country.

In 1956, the Graham family took control of Camp La Junta and immediately set the task of refining the programs and facilities to ensure a consistent experience of this retreat. Space is limited, however to ensure the quality attention and family atmosphere.
