This is a list of designated wilderness areas within the Adirondack Park. Powered vehicles are not allowed in wilderness areas; activity is limited to hiking, camping, hunting, birding, fishing and paddling; and regulations attempt to ensure participants leave no trace.

*West Canada Lake Wilderness Area - 156,695 acres (634.12 km²)
*William C. Whitney Wilderness Area - 20,500 acres (83.0 km²)
The 19,000-acre (77 km²) Saint Regis Canoe Area, presently the only Canoe Area in the park, operates under essentially the same conditions as the Wilderness Areas.
