The Erie Land Light also known as the Old Presque Isle Light is one of the three lighthouses that had helped to protect the waterways of Lake Erie around Presque Isle and Erie, Pennsylvania. It was originally constructed in 1818 and was one of the first two lighthouses on the Great Lakes. It was replaced again in 1867, when it was realized that the new tower was defective, [Bates, Samuel P. History of Erie County. 1884.] with the current structure. The Erie Land Light was deactivated in 1899.
