Bataan Provincial Expressway

Bataan Provincial Expressway

The Bataan Provincial Expressway (BPE or BPEx), also called Roman Super-Highway, is a toll two-lane freeway that connects Bataan to the provinces of the Central Luzon region in the Philippines.

The expressway begins in Layac, Dinalupihan, Bataan at a t-junction with the Olongapo-Gapan Road. It then passes through Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Samal, Orani, Abucay, Balanga City, Pilar, Orion, Limay and Mariveles

Originally controlled by the Philippine National Construction Corporation or PNCC, operation and maintenance of the BPEx was transferred in 2005 to the Manila North Tollways Corporation, a subsidiary of the Lopez Group of Companies, who also operates the North Luzon Expressway. As a result, the expressway is being built, refurbished, and maintained to the same standards as the NLEx.
