Sauvé (provincial electoral district)

Sauvé (provincial electoral district)

Sauvé was a provincial electoral district in the Canadian province of Quebec. Located in the Montreal region, the riding was created after the 1970 elections after being split from the now-defunct Bourassa riding since its creation in 1966. The two ridings were merged once again in 2003 creating the riding of Bourassa-Sauvé. The riding was named after former Quebec Premier, Paul Sauvé who led the province for 100 days in 1959 after the death of Maurice Duplessis
