The Whitman Glacier is a medium-sized glacier on the eastern flank of Little Tahoma Peak, a sub-peak of Mount Rainier in Washington. It covers convert|0.9|sqmi|km2|1 and contains 4.4 billion ft³ (125 million m³) of ice. Starting from near the rocky spire of Little Tahoma at Convert|10000|ft|m|-2, the glacier flows southeast downhill.Cite web|title=Whitman Crest, USGS Mount Rainier East (WA) Topo Map|work=USGS Quad maps|url=http://www.topoquest.com/map.php?lat=46.84161&lon=-121.69134&datum=nad27&zoom=8|publisher=TopoQuest.com|accessdate=2008-05-17] A small snowfield connects this glacier with the adjacent Fryingpan Glacier at about Convert|9200|ft|m|-2. As the Whitman Glacier flows southeast, the Whitman Crest bounds the glacier to the northeast. Upon reaching a flatter plateau at about Convert|8300|ft|m|-2, the glacier does not flow far before reaching its terminus at Convert|8200|ft|m|-2 to Convert|7800|ft|m|-2|abbr=on|abbr=on|abbr=on|abbr=on|abbr=on. The small Ohanapecosh Glacier lies to the east of the terminus. Meltwater from the glacier drains into the Cowlitz River.
