Brake house

Brake house

Brake house is a genre of dance music. It is a dub version of downtempo tech house.most dj's get this sound by playing tech house records that are normally 45rpm's at the speed of 33rpm's.

This new dance music genre began its development in San Francisco. It's closest relative is Balearic House or Balearic Beat. Brake House also has parallels to such new music genre's as dubstep, and even glitch hop, in terms of its subbass and slow dubby heavy electro synth sounds. Yet, unlike dubstep and glitch hop, brake house relies on four kick drum hits per musical measure, rather than a break beat.
