Sean O'Brien was an Irish sportsman who was played in the League of Ireland during the 1950s. He was also known by the nickname Jacko.
O'Brien was a goalkeeper for the amateur Bohemians from 1953 to 1958. He was club captain for Bohs in 1956/57 season. He made 94 appearances for the club and even managed 1 goal. After injuring his neck in a match against Cork Hibernians in January 1958, he was moved to right wing (this was in the days before substitutes) and scored in a 3-1 win. He also played for Drumcondra during his career.
