Shawlands FP RFC is an amateur rugby union side based on the south side of Glasgow and play in [Dumbreck] , the home of Cartha Queens Park RFC. The club finished the 2006/07 season third in the West League Division 2 Pool 1, and gained promotion to the West League Division 1.

Season 2007/08

Following a positive pre-season and moving on from last season's campaign, the club had high hopes for the league this year. Hopes were soon dashed after the initial six matches resulted in just one victory and 4 severe losses. This situation has arisen due to injury problems higher up within the Cartha Queens Park hierarchy causing squad selection problems. The team's promotion has also meant that they are competing against much more organised and well-drilled 1st XVs which has been the main difference in their struggles.

The team's appearance in the West Region National Cup ended before it even began as they were withdrawn by the organisers for failing to complete a fixture in last year's competition.
