Marios Hadjiandreou

Marios Hadjiandreou (Greek: Μάριος Χατζηανδρέου; born September 19, 1962) is a Cypriot triple jumper who won gold medals in Commonwealth Games and Mediterranean Games.

He won the gold medal in both 1987 and 1991. In 1990, he became the first Cypriot to win a golden medal in Commonwealth Games, leaving the English world class athlete Jonathan Edwards -who became World Champion and World Athlete of the Year- in the second position. However his success in Commonwealth Games didn't continue since he became 15th with 15.89 jump

Participant twice with Cyprus team at the Olympics, in 1988, with a 15.95 jump became 21st and 37th in 1992 with 15.64 jump. In both Olympics he participated, he was the flag holder of Cyprus Olympic team.

Also, he was Cyprus Games winner 12 times and winner of Cyprus Record with 17.13 in 1991. He won 12 consecutive wins in Bruno Zauli and also three golden medals in Games of the Small States of Europe in 1991, 1993, 1995.
