nihongo|Toyota National College of Technology|豊田工業高等専門学校|toyota kougyou koutou senmon gakko is a National College of Technology(Kosen).A College of five years system.

Purpose of Establishment

This unique college has two major characteristics as the followings. It takes an advantage to give theengineering education to young generation graduated from the junior high school. Its educational style isnot only composed of engineering is emphasized through many credits of experiment. It aims to train young students to be outstanding engineers with practical abilities as well as scientific viewpoints.

This school is signatory to the JABEE(Accreditation System for Engineering Education in Japan) which is signatory to the Washington Accord since 2005.

Main Activities Educational objectives

1)They are well aware of the needs of changing societies and are capable of taking many-sided approaches for the development of technology systems.

2)They have substantial experiences of experiments and practical training and deep understanding of fundamental theories.

3)They have critical thinking ability, creative energy, and executive ability through autonomous learning.

4)They have good communication skills in the global world of technology; skills of accurate description on the basis of scientific analysis and logic, skills ofclear oral presentations and discussions.

5)They take responsibility and pride as engineers in the 21st century, considering complex interrelationships oftechnological developments and social developments in the world in terms of engineering ethics.

*Fatigue Test Center for Materials and Structures = History = 1963.04 Toyota National College of Technology was established (Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering, and Department of Architecture).
1968.04 Department of Civil Engineering was added. A boarding system was adopted for students in lower grades.
1979.03 Data Station was opened.
1983.06 Strength Test Center for Materials and Structure was established.
1987.04 Department of Information and Computer Engineering was added.
1993.04 The Reorganization of Department of Civil Engineering.
1994.04 Advanced Engineering Courses were established. Courses of Electronic and Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Architecture,Computer Science were established.
1996.07 Data Station was reorganized into Multimedia Center for Information Processing.
1999.04 Department of Electrical Engineering was renamed Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
2002.10 Collaboration Research Center of Technology was established.
2004.04 Techno-training Center for Manufacturing was what is called "Monodukuri" Center. Instite of National colleges of Technology, Japan estallished Toyota National College of Technology.
