Gregg Doyel is a national writer for CBSSports.com and a radio host on WCKY (AM). In addition to writing provocative articles, he is well known for his "Hate Mail" in which he responds to angry fans every Thursday. Before becoming a National Columnist, Gregg Doyel was the editor of the college basketball page on Sportsline.com. He has written two books. They are entitled "Kentucky Wildcats: Where have you gone?" and "Coach K: Building the Duke Dynasty". Before working at Sportsline.com, he was a Marlins beat writer at the Miami Herald and an ACC Basketball writer with the Charlotte Observer. On May 21, 2007, it was announced that Gregg Doyel would host a radio program on Cincinnati's WCKY (AM) in the 9AM-Noon time slot with Mo Egger. Hate Mail

Every Thursday, Gregg Doyel publishes Hate Mail, a compilation of angry letters he received over the past week and his responses to those letters. The letters discuss a variety of topics and certain names have become well known for their frequent appearances.

Early life and education

Gregg Doyel was born in Hawaii. He grew up in Mississippi where his father was a law professor at the University of Mississippi. Doyel attended high school in Georgia and attended college at the University of Florida, where he was a sports writer for the Independent Florida Alligator.
