Tsunduru unpleasant incident

The village became infamous for the sensational killing of 8 dalits (Malas) on the 6^th of August, 1991, when a mob of over 400 people, composed of mainly Reddys chased down the victims along the bund of an irrigation canal. In the trial which concluded, 21 people were sentenced to life imprisonment and 35 others to a year of rigorous imprisonment and a penalty of Rs. 2000 each, on the 31^st of July, 2007, by special judge Anis.
