"Major Sandhu is a singer and TV presenter. Major was born in a village Jarikpur of Patiala district in the state of Punjab in North-West India from a poor family. He began writing and singing at the age of 7 with Jap Lai Ni!

His parents names are Amarjit Singh and mother Jarnail Kaur Sandhu.

Major Sandhu began his TV career as a presenter on Venus TV - (Sky Channel 807). His show titled 'Munda Southall Da' began to attract Panjabi audiences across Europe. His knowledge of Panjabi culture was evident throughout the discussions on his show.Unexpectedly, Major went off air for a couple of months due to the displeasure of his audiences only to return on a rival channel, MATV - (Sky Channel 793) with the same programme. His absence was also due to commitments regarding future projects in the music industry. His show on MATV, ended up to become more successful than ever before, attracting more audiences around Europe.

Major Sandhu now presents a show on the Indian tv channel - DD India (Sky Channel No. 833) called, "A Show With Major Singh Sandhu."
