WRNN-FM, known as "Hot Talk 99.5 FM", is a talk radio formatted radio station in [Myrtle Beach, South Carolina] which airs [Neal Boortz] , [Rush Limbaugh] , [Sean Hannity] , [Clark Howard] , [Jim Bohannon] , and [Matt Drudge] . A daily early morning talk show, "Steve, Debbie & Dave" airs from 6-10 a.m. giving locals a venue for live calls. National politicians, authors and newsmakers are interviewed on this top rated show.

History

WRNN signed on at 94.5 FM in the mid-90s as WKOA, with an oldies format, later switching to the WRNN letters and a talk format.

Around the same time, WMYB signed on at 99.5 FM stunting with classic country. WMYB changed to 70s music, and later to adult contemporary. When Next Media bought the stations in 2000, they traded frequencies because 99.5 FM had a stronger signal, though WMYB moved to 92.1 soon after that.

WRNN 99.5 FM has an early morning talk show, "Steve, Debbie and Dave." Talent includes Steve Porter, Debbie Harwell and Dave Priest. The arbitron ratings are very high for this 6-10 a.m. show. The show started streaming from the website, www.wrnn.net, in 2007 and is drawing listeners from around the country that use Myrtle Beach as their vacation spot or second home area. National, state and local news is discussed on the conservative format with Fox News at the top and bottom of the hour.

Don Imus used to be on WRNN when it was on 94.5, but his controversial nature caused him to be dropped.
