The Shire of Dardanup is a Local Government Area in the South West region of Western Australia, immediately to the east and southeast of the city of Bunbury and about convert|200|km|mi|0 south of the state capital, Perth. The Shire covers an area of convert|526.6|km2|sqmi|1, and its seat of government is in Eaton in Bunbury's eastern suburbs.

History

The Dardanup Road Board was gazetted in 1894. On 1 July 1961, it became a Shire Council following changes to the Local Government Act. [WA Electoral Commission, "Municipality Boundary Amendments Register" (release 2.0), 31 May 2003.]
