Horiba

) is a Japanese manufacturer of precision instruments for measurement and analysis. They have 80% of the world market for instruments that measure and analyze exhaust gas with the core product MEXA, and also make instruments for environmental, medical and scientific applications. Up to 2002, Hitachi was the principal shareholder, and the two companies retain close connections.
With the acquisition of Schenck Development Test Systems and the Interautomation Group in 2005, the company has expanded the product range considerably in the automotive market with the complete range of engine and driveline testing tools, including brake testing and wind tunnel balances.

Horiba has its headquarters in Minami-ku, Kyoto. The company was established in 1953.
