Uppala

Uppala (Malayalam:ഉപ്പള ) is a small town located midway between Kumbala and Manjeshwaram, north of the town of Kasaragod, in Kasaragod district, Kerala. It is said that it is the border of Kerala & Karnataka. Mangalore is the nearest city to Uppala. The town is one of the major hubs of Muslims in Kerala. Uppala is also noted for its fruit, vegetable & fish markets. Uppala has a Salafi Masjid with A Lady's prayer hall separately.

Transport

* Uppala is situated on NH-17 and has regular bus connections to Kasaragod and Mangalore.

* Uppala has a railway station where passenger trains stop.

* The nearest airport is at Mangalore.Pachilampara is one of the famous Art lovers and Sports clubs and young men cultural is working in Pachilamapra, Superstar was the first cricket club abd sports and arsts club created in the Uppala region.
