The American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) is a not-for-profit professional society for home inspectors throughout North America. Founded in 1976, ASHI established itself as the leaderFact|date=April 2008 in the home inspection profession, and operates a ASHI Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
Today, ASHI is the largest professional society of home inspectors in North America, with more than 6,000 members.
ASHI members also receive the "ASHI Reporter," which includes technical articles, marketing ideas and news of the Society. The "ASHI Reporter" is also available through their web site. The "ASHI Reporter" was named the best "Professional Society Magazine" by "Association Trends" in 2005.Fact|date=April 2008
