CNN Today is a rolling news programme by CNN International airing twice a day, once from London and the other from Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong edition airs starting at 07.00 HK time (with or without daylight saving time) or 23.00. It is principally presented by Hugh Riminton and Kristie Lu Stout. Shakuntala Santhiran, Andrew Stevens, Anjali Rao or various anchors from the CNN Centre often come in to substitute for either Riminton or Stout. Weather reports for this edition are usually done by Bonnie Schneider or Martyn Jeanes.

The London edition airs starting at 05.00-08.00 UK time, 06.00-09.00 CET or 04.00-07.00 GMT (during daylight saving time), 05.00-08.00 (at other times of the year). This edition is mainly anchored by Monita Rajpal and Max Foster. Sasha Herriman, Owen Thomas, Mallika Kapur or Adrian Finighan are usually the substitute anchors for this edition. Jenny Harrison presents the weather for this edition on Tuesdays to Fridays and various weather reporters come-in on Mondays.

Format

In both the London and Hong Kong editions, the show has 6 segments between breaks every hour. At the top of the hour, both editions give the latest world news stories.

As for the Hong Kong edition, the 2nd segment takes a look at business headlines and introduces the first of 3 weather updates. Its third and fourth segments looks more in-depth at some top stories. The fifth segment continues with some technology and more business headlines, and sports and lighter stories as well as the business traveler's weather advisory are given before the hour ends.

The London edition on the other hand has its first weather update before the 1st break and continues with major news reports on the 2nd segment. Business stories are reported before the bottom of the hour. At the bottom of the hour, world news headlines are recapped before going to more in-depth coverage of current issues. A 2nd weather report is also presented at this time. Like the Hong Kong edition, sports stories and the business traveler's weather advisory are presented before the top of the hour.
