Allama Arif Hussain Al Hussaini (Urdu:علامه عارف حسين الحسينى شهيد‎) (November 25, 1946 - August 5, 1988) was a leader of Shi'as of Pakistan.

He was born on 25th of November 1946 at the Village Piwaar of Kurram Agency, Parachinar in the house of Fazal Hussain Shah. His family belongs to the Hussaini branch of Syeds, which is descended from the 4th Shia Imam Hazrat Ali Ibn Hussain Zain-ul-Abideen. The specific local branch name was Doerazai. He received his primary education at his hometown's Government primary school and later on went Parachinar to complete his matriculation. Later he showed interest in religious studies and got admission in Madressa Jafria Parachinar from where he went Najaf for further studies. In 1973 he returned home and after got married and then in 1974 he went Qom to join Hauza Ilmia. In 1975 and 1977 he went for Haj. As a teacher, he tried to improve the syllabi of the Madressah while also encouraging students to adopt modern techniques to understand Islam with the strict following of Taqwa e Ilahee.

After the success of Islamic revolution, imperialists got scared with its spread over the world specially its neighboring areas and hesitantly marked areas where it could reach and influence. Kurram Agency was also marked due to its big shia population and close geographical contact with Iran. They used Afghan refugees to suppress the Kurram Agency's population. First, big camps were erected around Kurram Agency and then, after settling, elements in Afghan refugees attacked Kurrum Agency.

He played leading role in defending the area. He founded "Alamdar Foundation" comprising around 1200 area youths and made himself its head. He made it clear to the members of Alamdar Foundation that the future of Parachinar is in extreme danger because America wanted to disconnect all shia centers with Islamic revolution. He gave utmost importance to the welfare of people and instructed members of Alamdaar Foundation to start a campaign against social evils, especially the drug heroine.

In a meeting of 28 persons called in Bhakkar Punjab Shaheed Quaid Arif Hussain was given the leadership of TJP, five months after the death of Allama Mufti Jafer Hussein on February 10th, 1984 in Bhakkar. He was recommended by Ayatollah Muhammad Hussain Najafi, Principal of Sultanul Madaris Sargodah, and Allama Safdar Hussain Najfi (late), Principal of Jamia tul Muntazir Lahore.

August 5, 1988 recorded a tragic day when the Chief of Tehrik-e-Jaffaria Pakistan (TJP), who had the full backing of Umeed- e- Imam Hazrat Ayatuula Hussain Montazeri, was killed in Peshawar. He went to Madressah mosque to pray Fajr Namaz. After offering prayers Shaheed Quaid went upstairs of the Madressah. His guard Zamin Ali went somewhere else. On the gate Abdullah also came in to pray, leaving gate open. In the meantime two gunmen came in to the Madressah. They directly came to Shaheed Quaid Allama Arif ul Hussain Al Hussaini's room but since he was on the upper floor of the Madressah they saw him coming downstairs, one of the assailants fired immediately but he only fired one bullet which pierced his heart. After his arrest, the one who fired revealed that he wanted to fire more bullets but his right hand paralyzed instantaneously as he couldn't move his fingers and his right hand is still paralyzed. Both of the attackers managed to run away but later they were arrested. Maulana Jawwad Hadi was the first to see him lying in his own blood. They took him to a nearby hospital but he breathed his last in an ambulance on the way to the hospital.
