KLAK (97.5 FM) is a radio station serving the Sherman/Denison, Texas and northern Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area. The station mainly targets the area around Collin County, TX. It has an Adult Contemporary format.

History

KLAK started broadcasting at 104.9 FM on August 14, 1984, licensed to Denison, Texas. It moved to Durant, Oklahoma (and to its present location at 97.5 FM) on May 12, 1987. The call letters are a reference to nearby Lake Texoma. KLAK, unlike many stations in North Texas, has never changed call letters since it began broadcasting. KLAK is the sister station to KMKT-FM 93.1 in Bells and KMAD-FM 102.5 in Whitesboro.
