Alan Mair is a musician and producer. He is best known as the bassist from The Only Ones. He co-produced the first two albums "The Only Ones" and "Even Serpents Shine" and wrote and sung "My Way Out Of Here" from the 3rd and final Only Ones album "Baby's Got a Gun".

Prior to The Only Ones, Mair had huge success with Glasgow band The Beatstalkers who became Scotland's top group causing riots everywhere they played giving them the tag The Scottish Beatles. He owned a shop at Kensington Market in the late 60's and early 70's selling hand made boots, where he employed Freddie Mercury and Roger Taylor, later of the rock band Queen.

He currently lives in London and recently was the driving force in reforming 'The Only Ones' who performed to a sell out show at Shepherds Bush Empire show. This was followed by shows at the O2 Wireless Festival in Hyde Park, and the first ever Connect Festival in Inverary, Scotland.

They are now in 2008 extending their touring to take in Holland, Japan, Hultsfred Festival in Sweden. More dates are continually being added.
