Peter Clarke (born 19 May 1881 in London; died 14 December 1915 in Dublin [http://www.cricketarchive.co.uk/Archive/Players/26/26714/26714.html Cricket Archive profile] ] ) was an Irish cricketer. A right-handed batsman and leg-break bowler [http://www.cricketarchive.co.uk/Archive/Players/26/26714/26714.html Cricket Archive profile] ] , he had a brief, but interesting, career.

In May 1912 he was plucked from virtual obscurity to make his first-class debut in a Test trial match for the England cricket team.
