William McKee

William McKee

William McKee CBE (born 1952) is the chief executive of the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust.

He was born in Belfast, and is the son of Margaret and James McKee of Bangor, County Down, Northern Ireland.Fact|date=July 2007 He received a BSc from Queen's University Belfast and an MBA from the University of Ulster. In 2006, McKee received Commander Of The British Empire (CBE) for service to the NHS in Northern Ireland.

The Belfast Trust is the largest Trust in the UK employing 22,000 people with an annual budget in excess of £1 billions. It was established in April 2007 following the merger of six previous Trusts.

William McKee was previously chief executive of the Royal Hospitals comprising the Royal Victoria, Royal Maternity, and Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.
