Bright Star Catalogue (5th rev. ed.)DEN 1048-3956 is a brown dwarf object about 13 light years from the Earth in the southern constellation of Antlia, among the closer interstellar objects to the Earth. This substellar object is rather dim with a magnitude of about 17.[1]
In 2005 a powerful flare from this object was detected by radio astronomy.[2]
