The Six Wives of Henry VIII was a 1973 film adaptation of the tv series of the same name. The same actor (Keith Michell) played Henry as in the tv series, but six different actresses played his wives (with Boleyn and Seymour most prominent). Locations included the courtyard of Eton College.

Cast

*Frances Cuka - Catherine of Aragon
*Charlotte Rampling - Anne Boleyn
*Jane Asher - Jane Seymour
*Jenny Bos - Anne of Cleves
*Lynne Frederick (wife of Peter Sellers) - Catherine Howard
*Barbara Leigh-Hunt - Catherine Parr
*Brian Blessed - Earl of Suffolk
*Bernard Hepton - Thomas Cranmer [The only actor besides Michell to play the same role in both the series and the film.]
*Donald Pleasence - Thomas Cromwell [Father of Angela Pleasence, who played Catherine Howard in the tv series.]
*Michael Gough - Duke of Norfolk

Anachronisms

*The part of the film covering Henry's marriage to Anne Boleyn features some brief stock/agency footage of a number of British castles. This includes a modern boat's superstructure appearing briefly in the lower right-hand corner of the shot featuring a castle on a headland.
