Stafford Emanuel Tavares is a
cryptographer , professoremeritus atQueen's University .His notable work includes the design (withCarlisle Adams ) of theblock cipher sCAST-128 andCAST-256 . He also helped organize the firstSelected Areas in Cryptography (SAC) workshop in 1994.
