The Company was originally established in 1993 as a joint venture between "South Staffordshire Water" and Richard Harpin under the name of "Fastfix". In 2000 the Company introduced a claims management service (originally known as "Inter-Partner Assistance" and subsequently as "Home Hotline") based in

Homeserve’s emergency insurance policies include cover for plumbing and drains, electrical emergencies, gas central heating and gas and water supply pipes.
