To be confirmed

To be confirmed

To be confirmed, often abbreviated to TBC, is an expression used to signify a lack of definitive information for a release or event. It is often used for publicity where an act, event, or time has not been fixed at the time of going to press. The phrase is also often used for minor logistical details yet to be set.

"TBC" is similar to the expression "To be determined (TBD)". Often they are more or less interchangeable. However, a differentiation can be made if desired—whereas "TBD" usually indicates that the value of a variable is still completely unknown and could turn out to be anything, "TBC" may indicate that the final value, while not yet certain, is expected to be something close to the tentative value currently being reported.
