All-Russia State Television and Radio Company

The unitary enterprise All-Russia State Television and Radio Company ( _ru. Всероссийская государственная телевизионная и радиовещательная компания, "Vserossiyskaya gosudarstvennaya televizionnaya i radioveshchatelnaya kompaniya", abbr.VGTRK) is a state-owned Russian television and radio company which owns the Russia TV Channel. It was founded in 1990 in a move to give the president of Russia, Boris Yeltsin, its own voice, independent of the Soviet channels.
